Research Introduction

In addition to treating patients, our physicians are also interested in answering medical questions and furthering scientific knowledge.  We do this through various research studies, both in Denver, Colorado as well as through multi-center collaborations.  We ask (but do not require) each patient that comes through our facility to help us with our research through answering patient surveys (see below) and coming for follow-up visits.

So that you may understand how your information will be used, as well as learn more about the types of research being conducted by your physicians, this research area has been put together.  You may read the publications and abstracts that have been completed by the Denver Clinic for Extremities at Risk physicians.

Please feel free to look through this information and ask questions about it during your visit.  It is not expected that you understand everything; rather, this literature is to give you more information about your doctors and the diseases we treat.

 Research Focus Includes:

  • Osteosarcoma
  • Amniotic Tissue
  • Bone Transport
  • Pain control for Amputees

Surveys we use to collect information are:

  • Muscukoskeletal Tumor Society Survey
  • LCI-5 (Lower Extremity Amputee)
  • AOFAS Hindfoot-Ankle
  • Harris Hip Score
